BSAS Statewide Virtual Substance Use Prevention Conference - Day 1

Description

Explore the impact that power, privilege, and politics have on our ability to address health inequities, and how solutions that are measurable, money-driven, and mandated can help us to overcome these barriers.

Addressing health inequities in our substance misuse prevention work and centering populations that have been historically oppressed continues to be integral to the work of the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. Join us as we continue to examine these important issues.

Keynote: Dr. Debra Furr-Holden. Dr. Furr-Holden is a Mott Endowed Professor of Public Health and an Associate Dean for Public Health Integration at Michigan State University.

The 3-day virtual event will include a combination of plenaries, breakout sessions, discussion groups, and optional debrief sessions. Registration is FREE. Participants who attend will receive CEUs for certified prevention specialists (CPS).

You can view the conference schedule here.
