Pritay Washington

Early Childhood Advisor

Pritay supports SOR-PEC grantees in implementing prevention strategies in early childhood settings. She is also a training and technical assistance associate for the Office of Child Care’s National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment where she supports state Child Care and Development Fund Lead Agencies in including school-age children in working families of low income as they implement their childcare assistance programs. Pritay’s strength is in program administration, understanding the important contribution of each component and advocating for family and community engagement. She works to advance Education Development Center's Implicit Bias Training initiative as a content facilitator, and has written about strategies to address mental health in the Black community. She holds a BA in Human Services from National Louis University and a graduate certificate in Public Management from Indiana University Northwest.
