About Us

Who We Are

The Center for Strategic Prevention Support (CSPS) provides technical assistance (TA) and resources to Massachusetts communities seeking to prevent and reduce the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), CSPS offers BSAS-funded programs the supports they need to implement and sustain effective prevention programming. Our expert team of TA liaisons are well-versed in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration’s Strategic Prevention Framework, a five-step process that communities can use to guide their prevention planning efforts.

CSPS is operated through a partnership that includes Education Development Center, Bay State Community Services, and the Franklin Regional Council of Governments. Our clients include communities that receive MassCALL3A - Community Engagement and Capacity Building (MassCALL3A), MassCALL3B – Comprehensive Strategy Implementation (MassCALL3B), and Prevention in Early Childhood (PEC) grants.
