Opioid Abatement Funds Presentation - Prevention

Joining us will be representatives from BSAS, the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office, and Mass Health Boards. You are strongly encouraged to share this opportunity with any/all of your prevention partners, but particularly municipal partners in both the lead and cluster communities that each of your represent.

The forum will provide information on the Opioid Abatement legal settlements in Massachusetts, including both municipal abatement payments and the statewide fund.

The presentation will also include information on the five new proposed settlements with Allergan, Teva, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens, including information on what municipalities need to do to sign on to these settlements by the April 18, 2023 deadline.

Attendees will learn about the settlement participation process, details about the abatement funds that will be available to participating municipalities from these new settlements, strategies for community engagement in the use of opioid settlement funds, as well as an update on available support and technical assistance. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

The attached calendar invite includes the meeting information and link which can also be found below. We hope to see all of you and your partners there. This presentation will not be recorded. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions that you may have. Take good care.
